4 Months Old

I'm 4 months old today! Here's what's up with me now:

• I weigh 15 pounds and am 25 inches long!
• I'm "talking" more and more every day and am making different noises. 
• I've started rolling over! I can roll from my tummy to my right side but kind of get stuck then. I'm working on doing more with my rolling, though. Mommy and Daddy are really good to help me!
• I can sleep 8-9 hours without waking up, but lately I've been waking up to eat in the middle of the night. I'm just a hungry, growing girl! 
• I go to sleep around 9:30pm each night. I used to go to bed at 11-11:15pm, but Mommy and Daddy have gotten me to change this.
• I take 3 naps a day. Usually around 9:30am, 2pm, and 6-6:30pm. I like taking naps and usually do so in my comfy swing.
• I can hold my head up really well.
• I love bath time, especially when Mommy or Daddy says "big splash" to me! It is lots of fun!
• I like to laugh a lot.
• I have a high chair now and have practiced sitting in it a few times.

Those are just some of the things I'm doing. I'm learning and growing every day. I like my little life. Mommy and Daddy are so good to me. They get down on the floor and play with me every day. I love them!

The Zoo

Mommy and Daddy took me to the zoo for the first time on Sunday!! We had a great time, even though I slept through some of it. I'm sure they'll take me back lots of times next year and after that. Mommy took pictures for me!

Looking at the giraffes. Mommy is so good - she put me in an outfit that had a giraffe on it and she didn't even plan it! Some day I'll be able to pet the giraffes like the people in the picture. That will be fun!

Laughing

I love laughing, especially when taking a bath! Daddy gave me a bath one night and got me laughing a lot. Watch this and laugh with me!

Date Night...For Mommy and Daddy

Two weekends ago Mommy and Daddy went out on a date...without me. My Gumma and Poppy (Mommy's Mommy and Daddy) came over to babysit me. We had fun together, even though I was kind of tired.

Gumma (who was named Gumma by my cousin, Trevor) and Poppy always take my cousins, Trevor and Cody, to Bass Pro Shops to look at all of the animals. They have a whole routine and route they go through in the store. Mommy said they could take me there to show me around. I was excited to go!

Gumma and Poppy came over around 5:30 and we left for Bass Pro Shops while Mommy and Daddy went out to eat and saw a movie. Here are some pictures of my first outing with Gummy and Poppy!

I was watching this big glass elevator go up and down. It was really neat!

Gumma and Poppy wore me out!

They were so nice to buy me a stuffed squirrel to remember my first trip to Bass Pro Shops with them! The squirrel matched the pink camouflage outfit Poppy gave me and that I have on in the picture.

My Bumbo Seat

Lately I've started sitting in my bumbo seat. It has a funny name, but it sure is a nice little chair. I look really cute sitting in it! See for yourself:

Just Hanging Out

Mommy and Daddy play with me a lot. Mommy plays with me more, just because she's home with me all day while Daddy works really hard for us. I like the weekends because Daddy is home all day and I get to play with both of them. Mommy likes to take pictures and last weekend we took some fun pictures of the three of us. I love my Mommy and Daddy and I know they love me a whole, whole bunch!

Hair

When I was born I had a lot of hair. It's kind of started to thin out in my short 3 1/2 months of life, especially one little spot on the back of my head:

 

 

Mommy says this is normal because I spend a lot of time laying on my back while sleeping and playing. It looks kind of funny but I like it. So do Mommy and Daddy!

 

Just Helping Out

Mommy and Daddy give me a bath every night and we have a little routine going. Mommy will get the bath ready while Daddy gets me ready. He will take off my clothes on the changing table in my room and then carry me into the bathroom before taking off my diaper. I've started helping him by carrying my new diaper into the bathroom for him. I love helping Mommy and Daddy anytime I can!

Tummy Time

I spend most of my awake time laying on my back playing with all of my toys, but at least once a day Mommy and Daddy give me "tummy time." This is where I lay on my tummy and practice coming up on my arms and raising my head up. I used to not like it at all but have gotten to where I kind of like it. Mommy likes seeing my head up when I'm doing tummy time. Here's some pictures she took of me.

3 Months Old

As of July 28, I am now 3 months old! I have changed and grown so much since I was born in April. Here's some interesting facts about me at 3 months old:

• I weigh about 13 pounds and 12 ounces.
• I've found my voice and like to "talk" to Mommy and Daddy.
• I don't cry a whole lot, but definitely cry when I need my diaper changed.
• I sleep about 7-8 hours a night without waking up.
• I go to sleep around 11pm each night. Mommy and Daddy try really hard to get me to fall asleep earlier, but I just can't.
• I can hold my head up pretty well.
• I can roll over, if given a little help.
• I do good at tummy time, when I'm in a good mood!
• I love bath time!

Those are just some of the things I'm doing. I'm learning and growing every day. I like my little life. Mommy and Daddy are so good to me. They get down on the floor and play with me every day. I love them!
