9 Months Old

I'm 9 months old now! Mommy says this is a really fun age. I do lots of things like play with all my toys, pull up on everything and walk along the furniture, sleep all night long, feed myself little puffy snacks, ride in my big girl chair in the car, play peekaboo with myself, and lots of other things!

• I weigh 21 pounds and am 28 1/4" long!  
• I still just have two teeth and am working on my two top teeth.
• I love waffles and pancakes with syrup! I still eat all my other fruits and vegetables but I think I'm read to eat some more solid type foods. 
• I love drinking water form a sippy cup!
• I am an expert at patty cake!
• I've mastered giving a high-five!
• I kind of know where my belly button is!
• I can say "dada" and "mama" and everything is called dada and mama to me!
• I LOVE reading books, especially lift-the-flap books!
• I don't like wearing headbands so much anymore and I don't like wearing stickers. Mommy's kind of sad about this and hopes that someday I'll like them again!

My Special Coat

Mommy gave me a new coat a few weeks ago and I love it so much. It's also a very special coat because my Gumma wore it when she was my age. That's right - my GUMMA wore it, not my Mommy! Mommy says my Gumma is 62 years old. That is old, especially since I'm not even 1 year old yet! Anyway, since Gumma is 62, that means this coat is 62 years old. It's probably even older, too. Gumma said she thought that maybe her sisters, who are 9 and 11 years older than her, might have worn this coat, too. Wow!! I like my new coat! It's soft and pretty and fancy. Thank you, Gumma!

My Big Girl Seat

I now have a big girl car seat! Mommy and Daddy got me a new seat to sit in when I ride in the car. So far I like it okay. I have more room in it, but it sure is big! But my other car seat sure was big when I was first born! Mommy said I have to face backwards still, at least until I'm 1 year old. It will be fun when I can face forward and see more things. Mommy has a mirror on the seat that I face all the time. I like looking at myself in the mirror and she likes to be able to see me in the mirror with the mirror she has in the front. Thanks, Mommy and Daddy, for taking such good care of me and getting me a bigger seat. I love you!

Mommy's Dishcloths

My Mommy likes to knit and crochet and the main thing she does with that skill is knit dishcloths. She knitted a bunch for Gumma and last week when I was at Gumma's house I found that they have another use besides washing dishes. I started throwing them on the floor, but Gumma started putting them back on the table. This was so much fun! Mommy even played this game with me at my house when we got home. I want to keep playing this game!

My Play Garden

For Christmas, Gramma and Grampa Wiseman gave me my very own play garden! I love it and it's so much fun to crawl around and play on. I can pull up on it and walk all around it. I can climb in and out of it and pretend like I'm in a house. It has a telephone that I can play on. It's been so much fun. Thank you, Gramma and Grampa!

My Purple Ball

Mommy got me a purple ball and it is so much fun to play with! It's just so exciting and make me squeal with delight when I get it!

8 Months Old

I'm 8 months old now! Well, actually I'm 8 1/2 months old now. I've just been so busy playing with my new toys that I got for Christmas that I forgot to write about it here. The day I turned 8 months old was a special day - I was a flower girl in my Mommy's best friend's wedding! I did so good as a flower girl. I got to ride in a wagon with a little boy who was the ring bearer and Mommy pulled us down the aisle. I did so good and looked so pretty!

But, back to me being 8 1/2 months old...I am loving this age! I have so much more freedom now that I can crawl and I can even walk. Well, Mommy doesn't call it walking, she calls it cruising along the furniture, but I think it's all the same. Here are some more things I'm doing now:

• I weigh 20 1/2 pounds!  
• I have two teeth! My two bottom front teeth came in before Christmas. I like the way they feel on my tongue!
• I eat real food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I like to eat apples, peaches, pears, mango, mixed fruits, and I like having oatmeal mixed in the fruits, too. I also like to eat sweet potatoes, carrot, chicken and rice, turkey and rice, and vegetable beef. I even like to eat peach and blueberry flavored yogurt, peach cobbler, and vanilla custard with bananas. The food is all so yummy! Mommy makes some of my food and it's so delicious!
• I like to drink water and juice from a sippy cup!
• I know what it means to patty cake!
• I can kind of give a high-five to you!
• I've mastered crawling! I crawl to wherever I need to go!
• I can stand up on my own...well, I have to hold onto something to stand up, but it's getting pretty easy now!
• I still like to dance when I hear music!
• I am getting really good at sleeping through the night. I usually fall asleep around 8:15-8:30pm and Mommy has to wake me up at 8am. I could probably keep sleeping more if I could. Sometimes I wake up during the night but that doesn't happen very often anymore.
• I'm really good at taking a morning and afternoon nap. Each day around 10:30am and 2:45pm I get tired so Mommy gives me a snack and then I take a nap for 1-2 hours! I think Mommy really likes my nap time!

This onesie is a size 12 months. I'm kind of filling it out pretty well at just 8 months!

I'm so cute!

Mommy put the sticker on me but I just wanted to play with it and tore it. Each time she tried to put it back on I just wanted to grab it so she gave up and just held it in the picture!

This is my Mommy and Daddy at the wedding I was a flower girl in. They looked so nice! Daddy was an usher and Mommy wheeled me down the aisle in the wagon. She did a good job!

This is me with Natalie, one of Mommy's bestest friends. We both looked so pretty and it was such a fun wedding!

Sometimes I Just Don't Want To Nap!

You know I like to sleep because I've written about it lots of times here. But there are some days when I just don't want to sleep. Last Friday was one of those times. Mommy put me down for a nap and I cried for a little bit but then I stopped crying and remembered the fun noise I make when I blow raspberries. So I just sat and blew raspberries for a while. Mommy thought it was funny so she took a video of it.

Potty Time

A few weeks ago I got to experience my first time sitting on the potty! Daddy thought he'd let me try it before my bath. Too bad he didn't leave me there just five more seconds because right after he took me off the potty, he put me in the bathtub and I pooped in the bath! Mommy and Daddy thought it was really funny so they took pictures of it. They said it would have been pretty neat had I pooped in the potty! I hear Mommy and Daddy talking about my poop a lot. Silly Mommy and Daddy!
