I had to do a report on a person in history and I chose Dr Martin Luther King, Jr. I thought he was really neat and did a lot of good for people so I wrote about him. Here are all of my notes and how I went through the report writing process! And I got my grade back on it and got a 97%! That's pretty good!
I got a new dress one day when we went shopping on spring break. I love it! It's really soft and really pretty with yellow and sunflowers on it! I can't wait to wear it more this spring.
So one night I had fun playing with Mommy's phone. We had ordered a recorder for me and I was looking up on Amazon when it would be delivered. There was a thing to click so that I could see what the recorder would look like in my room so I did that and took screenshots of it. It's kind of hard to explain but we thought it was really funny!
We had a choir performace a few weeks ago right before spring break and I had a solo during one of the songs! I had to audition for the solo and I got it! I was kind of nervous but I think I did a really good job! Mommy and Daddy said I was the best one out of the five people who had a solo part and I totally agree with them! They weren't just saying that, I really did a good job! You can watch my solo here.
That night was also the second grade performance, so Molly sang some songs with her class and then with the choir at the end. Gramma and Grampa came to our performance and Gumma and Poppy came, too. I even found out that my piano teacher, Ms. Leslie, came to it but I didn't get to see her afterwards. I was really excited that so many people came to see me! It was a fun night and I wish I could do a performance every night!
I got my hair cut a few weeks ago and love how it turned out! I had some layers put in it around my face and think it looks really good! I like to wear it straight and curly because my hair has natural curl in it. Here's a before and after picture!
We went to Branson one day on spring break and we went to the Titanic Museum! It was really cool because everyone who did the tour was given a name of an actual passenger and information about their life. At the end of the tour you got to see if your passenger lived or died. My passenger lived! So did Molly's by Mommy and Daddy's passenger both died! The museum was really neat seeing different things that were actually on the ship. At the end you got to try and walk up a ramp that was at a really high angle like it would have been when the ship was sinking. It seems like it would have been easy, but it was really hard!
And before the museum we went to a dessert shop in Branson and I got a cheesecake with strawberry sauce on it. It was really good! Then we ate at a Mexican restaurant we like on the Branson Landing and watched the water and lights show. I really like watching that show! It was a fun day!
One week at school we had a reading week and people from the community came to school to read to us. In my class my teacher's sister came to read to us. I got to be her special helper and take her to the other classes she read to, too. Ms. Carson said she chose me to be the special helper because I show good behavior all throughout the different places we go at school. It was pretty cool to be able to do that and her sister even wrote me a thank you note!
One week at school we had a book week and one of the days we got to dress up as our favorite book character. I chose the character Sara from the book Whitebird. Whitebird is such a good book! It's a graphic novel and I read it three times! Mommy even read it, too, and I think she likes it as much as I do! It was fun dressing up.
I had a piece of art displayed at the Springfield Art Museum for the All School Art Exhibit! It's my tiger that I had on display at the library last fall! It was really cool to see it hanging up with all the other artwork!
My cousin, Cody, has an electric guitar and he brought it to Molly's birthday party so I could try playing it. It was really cool and now I wish I had my own electric guitar! You can watch me play it here!
