A few weeks ago I went to my last Open House of elemetnary school! I showed my classroom and my desk to Mommy, Daddy,and Molly. I guess it was fun showing them around. Mr. Post read a whole bunch of different quotes to us and he told uls to pick one we liked and draw a picture with it. What I chose is below. I really like it and and the picture I drew.Overall I like 5th grade and my teacher. I wasn't too sure about him to begin with, but I really like him now!
Being in 5th grade is cool because the 5th graders have different jobs to do around the school. On the first day of school my teacher gathered all the 5th graders in his room and showed us how to put the flag on the flag pole. He also showed us how to properly fold it up. I got to raise and lower the flag the first week of school and then a few days off and on after that to help new people doing it. I really like having the flag job!
We went to Silver Dollar City a few Sundays ago after church and it was fun. We hadn't planned to go, but we went with some friends from church. These are our friends who we're doing the 101 Dalmatians play with and our parents all thought it would be funny for us to ride the Dalmatians ride, so we did! You can watch us here. I guess it was kind of funny. And they even had us take a picture with Lucky the dog.
Daddy has this thing he uses to help his neck and shoulder pain. It's like a thing you pump up with air and it helps to stretch his neck. Molly and me used it one night and we thought we looked pretty funny!

I'm in a new play now! I auditioned for a part in the 101 Dalmatians play and got a role as a Corgi Narrator! I have a speaking part with lots of lines and will help tell the story to everyone. And I'll get to wear a microphone which I think is really cool! Practices started on the first day of school and they are Monday-Thursday from 7-9pm. That gets kind of late and tiring, but it really hasn't been that bad. Our performances are next week and I'm really excited for it! I love acting!
When Gramma and Grampa came to watch my Lion King play they stayed the night with us and we went to Costco. Gramma wanted to buy us something so I found this really cool shacket and she bought it for me. It's like a shirt but it's heavy like a jacket, so it's a shacket! I've been wearing it to school the last few weeks. It's still hot outside, but my classroom is kind of cold so it's nice to have it to stay warm!
My acting career has officially started! Right before school I did a camp with the Springfield Little Theater and was in The Lion King play! My part was a lioness and I was kind of just a background person, but I was still in the play! I had to audition for whatever parts I wanted and had to sing a song and do a little dance. I was excited for my part, but look forward to doing more plays with bigger parts! We did two weeks of a camp all day long and then had six performances at the end. It was a fun experience and I'm excited to do it again!
I did a lot of reading this summer when we had to go to the gym every MWF at 9am for Mommy's class. I always used to sit in the gym, but it's really loud in there so Mommy said I could sit upstairs in the sitting area where it's quieter. She also said I could bring some coffee and drink it! I really like doing that. And I liked sitting up there but there was always a group of old men who were sitting a few tables over from me talking and their conversations were kind of funny sometimes!
Molly and I had a job as dog walkers last month for some of our friends! We like these dogs, but they are kind of crazy! It was funny trying to get them out of their crate when we first got to their house. I had fun walking them, but I don't know if I'd want that as a job or even want my own dog! The dogs pooped and Mommy graciously picked it up for us! That was gross! You can watch us walk the dogs here!
