Cousins

My cousin, Hadleigh, was born just 2 weeks and 1 day after me on May 13. I got to meet her over the weekend and we had so much fun together! At one point we were even talking back and forth to each other in our own special baby language. Mommy and Daddy and Aunt Jennifer and Uncle Matt took lots of pictures of us and they even took a couple of videos. We had a fun time together and wore our Hawaii dresses from Gramma and Grampa Wiseman. I can't wait to see Haddie again!

Sleep....Again

As I've told you before, I like sleep! Last night I was so tired. I was up from 3:30 in the afternoon until about 9pm that night. I took a few 10-15 minute cat naps, but not a good, long nap like I should have. I was at Gumma and Poppy's and there was just too much going on to sleep. I was so tired that I fell asleep in my bath! Mommy had to wake me up a few times while she was bathing me. But don't worry, Gumma took the pictures and Mommy was holding on to me the whole time so I wouldn't fall into the water.

Bath time is hard work!

Happy First Father's Day

Happy first Father's Day to my Daddy, Ross! I love you Daddy! You are so good to change all my diapers and play with me! I can't wait to play with you more!

Sleep

I sure do like to sleep! This past week I've been sleeping a lot overnight, too, with some 5- and 6-hours nights. I even had one 7-hour night and one 8-hour night! Mommy and Daddy didn't know what to do with themselves the night I slept for eight hours! They sure did enjoy the uninterrupted sleep and I did, too. I was sure happy to see them in the morning. That's a long time to not see them and a long time to not have my diaper changed!

I sleep in my crib now during the night and during the day when I take naps I usually sleep in my bouncy seat. One of my favorite ways and places to sleep is on my tummy on Mommy's tummy. She's so nice to let me sleep there. I think she likes it, too. I also like sleeping on my tummy on Mommy and Daddy's bed. They let me do that sometimes in the morning after I've had my second breakfast. Mommy likes to take pictures of me sleeping. She thinks I look really cute.

Laundry Day

I've learned in my short 6.5 weeks of life that Saturdays are laundry days in my house. Mommy and Daddy bring their clothes downstairs to the washing machine and Mommy does the wash. Last Saturday, Daddy asked me to help with the laundry so I said okay! Here's how I helped:

6 Weeks!

I am 6 weeks old today and am doing lots of new things! Here's what I'm up to:

• I weigh about 11 pounds!
• I smile - real smiles - not just gas smiles! 
• I have slept really well the last few nights. Two nights in a row I slept for 5 hours and last night I slept for 6 hours. Mommy and Daddy didn't know what to do with themselves with all the extra sleep!
• I kind of laugh.
• I am a lot more vocal about when I'm wet, dirty, or tired.
• I'm getting really good at holding my head up.
• I'm starting to lock eyes with people who play with me.   

I love my life and my home and my Mommy and Daddy. They are so good to me!

Sometimes I Get Mad

Sometimes I just get mad, and that's okay because I'm only 5 weeks old! Last week Mommy and Daddy took me for a car ride and I was just not happy being in my car seat...as you can see from this video. :)

Visitors!

I had some special visitors this weekend. My Gramma and Grampa Wiseman came from Kansas City to visit me. They hadn't seen me since I was born, 5 weeks ago, so they sure saw a lot of changes in me from April 28. They had fun holding me, playing with me, and just watching me. Gramma even changed some of my diapers which Mommy and Daddy enjoyed the break from!

I love them and look forward to seeing them again!
